The Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems opened a branch in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, as relations between the two countries continued to thaw following last summer’s normalisation agreement.

Elbit had a booth in the Dubai Air Show representing Israel for the first time ever in this event. The show is running until 18 November and 80,000 visitors are expected.

Iraq is set to begin repatriating its citizens who wish to return on a voluntary basis from the Belarus border with Poland, an Iraqi official confirmed.

Israel can listen to every telephone conversation taking place in the West Bank and Gaza, a former member of the Israeli Army’s elite signals intelligence unit 8200 told Middle East Eye.

Every mobile or phone imported into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing is implanted with an Israeli bug, and anyone using the only two mobile networks serving the occupied territories – Jawwal and Wataniya – is being monitored as well, the former signals intelligence member said.

US military hid airstrikes that killed scores of civilians in Syria: Report (Middle East Eye)

The Pentagon covered up 2019 airstrikes in Syria that killed up to 64 women and children, a possible war crime, during the battle against the Islamic State group, the New York Times reported on Saturday.

The two back-to-back airstrikes near the town of Baghuz were ordered by a classified American special operations unit tasked with ground operations in Syria, according to the report.
