North Korea test-fired a new “long-range cruise missile” over the weekend, state media reported Monday, with the United States saying the nuclear-armed country was threatening its neighbors and beyond.

Pictures in the Rodong Sinmun newspaper showed a missile exiting one of five tubes on a launch vehicle in a ball of flame, and a missile in horizontal flight.

Russian defense firm MF Stelmak unveiled its Sosna-N robotic sniper detector at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum last month.

The laser-optical system, capable of automatic and remote-controlled operation, is designed to scan an area for optical devices such as “sniper rifle scopes, binoculars, or anti-tank missile targeting systems,” Army Recognition wrote.

USA. US Army Airborne Tests New, Faster Infantry Vehicle (Inger Singh Bisht, The Defense Post)

US Army Airborne soldiers have tested the newly acquired Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the service reported.

Soldiers from the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions drove the General Motors Defense vehicle in the pilot test, followed by the initial operational test.

Based on the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 platform, the vehicle provides quicker mobility to infantry soldiers who generally traverse challenging terrain on foot. The vehicle can carry nine soldiers and squad provisions, allowing longer battle deployments.

Sweden. Saab to Showcase Next-Gen Combat Boat 90 at DSEI 2021 (Joe Saballa, Defense News)

Swedish defense firm Saab will be exhibiting its next-generation Combat Boat 90 (CB90) at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2021 on September 14-17 in London.

The company revealed in a press release that the event will mark the first time that the fast assault craft would be showcased outside of Sweden. During the biennial exhibition, guests will have the opportunity to go aboard the vessel and learn about its capabilities.
